About the Event

Have you always wondered what agroforestry is?  Are you interested in planting trees AND growing food? What are the benefits and key considerations? Is it a financially viable option? Where might you find funding and support?

Join us for a brief taster into the world of agroforesty.  We will start with a group discussion and a presentation covering key concepts before we take a walk around the agroforestry here at FarmED including our silvopasture, silvoarable, market garden, orchard and shelter belt systems. Reconvene and discuss barriers and needs.  You will leave with a better understanding of your agroforesty options and next steps.

At the end of the walk there’ll be a seasonal light lunch freshly prepared in the FarmED kitchen and time for networking and further discussion. Lunch is included in the ticket price.

We are running this event as part of the Agroforestry Open Weekend 2023 (19th to 21st May) but we are extending it by hosting this walk on Monday 22nd!
