About the Event

Meet the team behind Fielden, a whisky brand who are doing things differently! Read More...
Fielden Whisky is trialling what they call ‘no-chem regen’, a low-input form of farming that they use to produce the rye, barley, and wheat they need for their English whisky. Different from most whisky brands, Fielden works directly with farmers to grow their own grain, meaning that they can build up a series of arable practices that is low-input and better for the environment, whilst also maintaining a good grain output year-on-year.

In this talk, Dr Emma Burnett and Master Distiller Chico Rosa will take you through Fielden’s process from grain to glass. They will discuss the diverse grains that they are growing, the innovative process they are using in the fields, what we can learn from these new regenerative agriculture practices, and (most importantly) what the liquid at the end is like!

After the talk, you will get a freshly prepared, nutritious lunch from the FarmED Cafe where you will be able to network with other guests.
