About the Event

Why do we need a new system of farming? Everyone is talking about ‘Regen Ag’ but what does it actually mean? How can you prove you’re farming regeneratively? Read More...

Introducing our newest course: Introduction to Regenerative Agriculture, which is s designed for people who are working in agriculture, including livestock and arable farmers, who are looking to gain a basic understanding of how to farm regeneratively.

During the day we will cover the six principles of regenerative agriculture, how they can be applied to different farms and what benefits you can expect to see, as well as hearing from farmers who are already doing it.

What are the six regenerative agriculture principles that will be covered?

  • Understand context
  • Maintain living roots
  • Integrate livestock
  • Protect soil surface
  • Minimise soil disturbance
  • Maximise plant diversity

We will also delve into agroforestry systems and how these can benefit the farm as a whole.

To find out more read the draft agenda here.

The course will be led by FarmED’s Agricultural Lead, Kate Henderson, and there will be a combination of indoor and outdoor learning, in the fields of our demonstration farm. You’ll also enjoy a farm to fork lunch and refreshments from the FarmED Cafe.
