Spring Foraging Walk & Workshop

It is easy to become accustomed to foraging the supermarket aisles and forget the diversity of the food in the environment around us. Foraging allows you to connect back to the wild, sense the changing seasons, and most importantly, experience nature's abundant wild larder.

Join Justine Gens from Ma Roemca to discover the hidden delicacies of the wilderness. Identify, harvest and embrace nourishing wild plants and fungi, to discover those with medicinal properties, delicious tastes and other enticing secrets - as well as those worth avoiding! After a two hour foraging walk around the farm, Justine will lead a workshop around brewing collected ingredients to create a selection of natural brews, such as syrups and oxymels.

Open your eyes to the hidden world of edible plants and feed your creative instincts using your natural environment!

Tea, and coffee on arrival as well as your own creations to take away!

About Justine Gens

'Driven by a sense of community, I created Ma Roemca to sustain a practice with gratitude and make foraging approachable.

I was born in the North of France, and raised by herbalists and naturalists. Foraging is a passion that has been present my whole life and I have deepened the knowledge through travel and connections with the people and the land.'

Arrival & timings information

Please arrive at 9:45am for tea, coffee and a short introduction from Justine and the FarmED team, before we head out on the walk at 10am. The walk will last around two hours, and the following workshop will be a further hour. Please make sure to bring along weather appropriate clothing and footwear.

We like to take photos and occasionally videos of our events to use on our website and social media, please let us know if you do not want to be photographed
