Wildflower Farm Walk

Here in the UK, our wildflower meadows are in decline. Supporting a large amount of our insect life, including our bees, butterflies and other pollinators, a diverse range of flowers are crucial for keeping our environment healthy and functional. They keep us happy and healthy too, with known benefits to our mental health and well-being.

Led by ecologist Anna Field of the Cotswold National Landscape team, explore some of the diverse plants and flowers around the FarmED site, learning how to identify them as well as understanding more about their role within their environment. Anna will also talk about restoring wildflower grasslands and share tips for establishing native wildflowers on your patch.

This event is brand new for 2026 and we hope you will join us to celebrate nature at its most uplifting!

About the speaker

Anna Field is the Glorious Cotswold Grasslands Programme Manager at the Cotswolds National Landscape and has been advising on grassland management and restoration in the Cotswolds since 2019. An ecologist by profession, she is also a lifelong naturalist with a particular interest in both botany and birds. Outside of work she is an active member and trustee of the Gloucestershire Raptor Monitoring Group, involved in long-term monitoring projects of Goshawk, Hobby and Barn Owl and she carries out a wide-range of freelance bird surveys for farms and estates in the Cotswolds.

Arrival & timings information

Drinks and a snack will be served from 9:45, with the walk itself beginning at 10. We will explore the farm for two hours. Please bring weather appropriate clothing and footwear, as well as any notepads or plant identification materials you would like.
