What is the future of construction? Join us for an afternoon of exploring how crops could cultivate the future of multiple industry.

FarmED and Cotswold Seeds are partners of the DEFRA-funded £6 million Centre for High Carbon Capture Cropping research project, known as CHCx3. CHCx3 is focused on increasing carbon sequestration, as well as increasing the crop output market of these carbon capturing crops. The project is focusing on four cropping options: cover crops;  perennial food, feed, forage cropping (including cereals and herbal leys), perennial biomass crops (miscanthus, willow/poplar) and annual fibre crops (industrial hemp, flax).

Throughout the day itself you will experience guided farm walks around the farm, including the hemp and herbal ley CHCx3 trial plot, meet experts, share knowledge and insights with research partners who will give practical experience with these innovative and sustainable crops.

On our farm we have herbal leys and hemp. We will be showcasing trials of the herbal leys, as well as how we've used hemp into our recent building project.

Other CHCx3 partners will be onsite all day to answer any questions about the project, as well as delicious farm-to-fork food and refreshments throughout the day from the FarmED cafe.
