About the Event

Part of our best selling Lunchtime Talk series, join us to 'Get the Dirt on Soil'! But what actually is soil and why is it so important? We've got earthworm and compost expert Danielle (who you may also recognise as one of the friendly faces of FarmED!) to explain all, from what it's made of, the ecosystem within it to its important role within our food production system. Get hands on with a water test that will show you how different soil types affect water infiltration, and learn three things you can do at home!

About the speaker:

Danielle has been studying soil and earthworms for four years, and is yet still amazed at how much we are still discovering about soil!

Please arrive at 11:45 am. The talk will start at midday, and lunch will be served at 1:00 pm.
